Organizational socialization refers to the learning content and process through which a new organizational individual adjusts his attitudes and behaviors to participate as an organizational member and come to identify with the organization. And the important consequences of the socialization process of the new employees have been recognized by many researchers in terms of productivity and performance, attitudes, organizational commitment and turnover. In addition, socialization will also pose a positive impact on the individuals’ access to opportunities in the organization and career development. Socialization can improve the newcomer’s communication and interaction within the organization and adapts from an outsider to an integrated and effective insider who can get well involved in the organization. As for the organization, socialization can help improve the new employee’s performance and productivity, and thus get more benefits. Accordingly, the importance of socialization cannot be neglected.

According to the findings of Feldman, a researcher focusing on organizational socialization, the socialization process can be divided into three main stages: pre arrival stage, encounter stage and metamorphosis stage. In the course of each stage, socialization always plays a crucial role in the adjustment and learning process of new employees and also, the organization’s achievements.
